SINGAPORE — Seven out of 591 residents at Block 105 Henderson Crescent and their visitors who were tested for Covid-19 have the coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Monday (June 28) that it has completed testing operations at the Housing and Development Board (HDB) block, which emerged as a new cluster last Friday.

All seven residents had earlier been reported by MOH in its daily Covid-19 update. They were: 

• A 70-year-old Singaporean woman who is a retiree

• A 40-year-old Singaporean woman who works as a finance executive at ST Engineering

• A 45-year-old Filipino man who works as a maintenance specialist at industrial gases company Air Liquide

• A 32-year-old male permanent resident who works as a part-time delivery rider with Grab and Foodpanda

• A 32-year-old female permanent resident who works as an operation manager at grocery shop Green Mart SG

• A 45-year-old Singaporean man who works as a manager at construction engineering firm Meinhardt Group

• A 43-year-old Indonesian who works as a foreign domestic worker

As of Sunday, 12 cases have been linked to the Henderson Crescent cluster. Its earliest recorded case was a 67-year-old male Singaporean retiree confirmed to have Covid-19 on June 17.

Residents of the neighbouring Block 103 are undergoing compulsory testing after four people who were infected were detected in three households living at the block.

The two-day swabbing operation will end on Tuesday at 4pm.

MOH will also conduct voluntary testing for visitors and those who have interacted with residents of Block 103 Henderson Crescent between June 7 and 26.

TIONG BAHRU CLUSTER

Over at Tiong Bahru estate, where 13 people in three households were infected, testing operations were done over the weekend.

MOH said that all 145 residents and visitors at 66 Eng Watt Street have tested negative for the virus.
