Christine Fan Spotted Singing At A Bistro Amidst Rumours Of Her Making Showbiz Comeback
She’s been laying low since last January after she was criticised for going on an expletive-filled rant at the Taiwanese government for temporarily banning the export of masks.
Taiwanese singer Christine Fan has never been one to mince her words, but her no-filter approach to handling thing got her in a lot of trouble last January.
Then, the 45-year-old posted an e xpletive-filled rant against the government for temporarily banning the export of masks when there was a shortage around the world.
Although Christine quickly deleted the post, screen grabs of it quickly went viral, which started a maelstrom of hate directed at her. Things got so bad that she had to take a 68-day social media hiatus.
She also cancelled all showbiz-related projects, and instead enrolled for a Master’s degree in a fashion-related field, igniting rumours that she's leaving showbiz for good.
However, there are now rumours that Christine is gearing up to make her big comeback, delighting her fans who have been complaining about the singer's extended hiatus.
On October 15, Christine was spotted performing at The Arcadia Bistro in Taiwan. It's said to be her first public performance since the scandal.
According to those at the bistro, Christine sang her own song Dao Bu Liao as well as Chang Chen-yue's Ai Wo Bie Zou with Super Idol 3 alum Will Lin.
While it’s not known why Christine decided to bless the bistro's diners with a performance, Will, who posted a photo with Christine on his Instagram, gushed, “Tonight, I’m grateful that I had [Christine Fan] singing with me. This is definitely one of the most beautiful memories I have.”
