A&W S’pore Now Offers Home Delivery
Finally, you don’t have to queue.
Around this time last year, fast food chain A&W made its much-anticipated comeback to Singapore. Unsurprisingly, the queue was insane. It started at an eye-watering three hours, and it was a good day when you could get your root beer and Coney Cheese Dog within two hours (A&W later opened another bigger branch in Ang Mo Kio Hub).
Fast forward to April 2020, and you no longer have to queue for A&W (finally), but not for the reasons you’d expect. Due to Covid-19 and circuit breaker, the chain has rolled out a home delivery service via Foodpanda. However, delivery is limited to its Jewel Changi Airport outlet currently, while its Ang Mo Kio outlet remains open only for takeaways. A&W has announced that it’s continuing “to work on expanding the coverage”. But for now this may help fill the desperate void left by McDonald’s unexpected complete closure... if you’re an Eastie.
