Heytea Launches New Pastries Like Croissants & Cookies To Go With Its Drinks
There are a total of four baked goods.
Heytea is popular for its signature fruit-infused teas topped with cheese foam, and for the first time in Singapore, it’ll be offering pastries at its Ion Orchard and Westgate outlets. The snacks aren't made in-house but imported from frozen bakes suppliers ARYZTA, based in Switzerland and Sydney Cake House, which is ironically not from Australia but Malaysia. Here’s more on the four items.
Don’t expect the gourmet stuff — these are flatter than the puffy croissants you’ll find at French patisseries. But they’re decent when eaten hot, after it’s toasted in-store. Suggested pairing: the Taro Bobo ($7.80), taro puree blended with fresh milk and topped with taro boba.
A plain croissant stuffed with chocolate and drizzled with more choc on the outside. Suggested pairing: Aqua Green Cheezo ($4.50), jasmine green tea with Heytea’s signature cheese foam for a mix of sweet and savoury flavours.
A soft, chewy cookie studded with dark and milk chocolate chunks. Definitely for those with a sweet tooth. If you don’t mind your sugar levels spiking even further, the folks at Heytea suggest washing this down with a Strawberry Cheezo ($8.30). Strawberries are blended with a green tea base and then topped with creamy cheese foam.
A moist, soft muffin with a core of gooey butterscotch. The texture of this is quite nice but it is extremely sweet. While the recommended drink pairing is a Very Grape Cheezo ($9.50) starring blended grapes with green tea, and cheese foam, we suggest ordering a hot tea sans sugar if you’re indulging in this muffin.
The pastries are available at Heytea’s Ion Orchard and Westgate outlets for pick-up only. To skip the queue, order in advance via the Heytea Go mobile app (available for iOS devices only) or GrabFood for self-collection. Selected drinks can also be delivered via GrabFood (delivery charges vary according to the app’s distance-based fees) here.
