Miss Thailand? Get $4.95 Mango Sticky Rice From Selected NTUC FairPrice Outlets
Since you're unlikely to travel to Bangkok anytime soon.
Yes, we know a leisurely makan trip to Bangkok this year is about as likely as Trump sincerely congratulating Biden for his presidential election win. But life's little pleasures can still spark joy. Like these affordably-priced packets of ready-to-eat Thai mango sticky rice sold at three NTUC FairPrice outlets. You’ll find the individually packed dessert by local fresh fruit supplier Sweet Farm at the fruit section of the supermarket. However, it’s only available on Fridays to Sundays.
What you get in each packet: sweet Thai glutinous rice topped with half a sliced Thai honey mango, paired with a little container of coconut cream. We haven’t tried it yet, but netizens who have said it was good. Not bad price-wise too — a similarly-sized set from Thai Express restaurant costs $6.90. It’s best consumed within 24 hours.
