M’sia’s Lavender Bakery Opening 2nd S’pore Outlet In Orchard, Here’s What To Expect
No need to travel to Johor Bahru or Jewel Changi Airport for its bakes.
Seasoned Johor Bahru visitors would know of Lavender Bakery, the popular Malaysian chain offering atas but wallet-friendly European-style bread and pastries. In 2019, it opened its first Singapore outlet at Jewel Changi Airport. Fast forward two years, and the chain is opening its second branch, this time at Ion Orchard.
The mall’s basement is also home to a range of new eateries including Five Guys’ upcoming third outlet and new hawker enclave Hawkers’ Street.
Lavender Bakery’s assistant general manager Vera Tam (whose family founded the brand) confirms with 8days.sg that the upcoming outlet will be opening “early to mid-October”, and that it will be a “takeaway bakery” concept.
The bakery is also working on “launching new products”, though it’s still finalising the menu at press time and will unveil the new items closer to the Ion Orchard outlet’s opening date. But Vera shares that “our signature products such as Hanjuku Cheese Cake, Caramel Milk Stick, Bamboo Charcoal Toast and Luo Song (a soft croissant-shaped bun) will definitely be available in this outlet”.
The chain is also “open to expansion” with more outlets, with Vera explaining: “Should an opportunity arise, we will be expanding more in Singapore!”
Lavender Bakery’s Ion Orchard outlet opens circa October 2021 at #B4-39/42 Ion Orchard.
