Strawberry-Flavoured Coca-Cola, Anyone?
Berry interesting.
Singapore has had its fair share of fun Coke flavours from Japan, like Coca-Cola Clear and seasonal options of peach and apple. Recently, Coca-Cola Japan announced the launch of a new limited-edition flavour — Coca-Cola Strawberry, the world’s first strawberry Coca-Cola.
Why strawberries? Well, because strawberries are a popular seasonal snack enjoyed during winter in Japan, and according to online Japanese website, Soranews 24, Coca-Cola Japan wants to “satiate everyone’s desire for all things strawberry during the cold season” now. The new Coca-Cola Strawberry comes with a pretty red and pink label decorated with a strawberry emitting fizz. The seasonal flavour is expected to retail at 140 yen (S$1.73) and will hit the shelves in Japan on January 20, for a limited period only.
We reached out to 7-Eleven Singapore’s PR rep for some answers and were told there’s “no word yet, but stay tuned! Check out their social pages too as they might announce it there.” Ooh — one can only hope.
