The sweet potato craze continues — this time at Pizza Hut. Its pizzas now come with sweet potato mash and cheese concealed in its crust. Another joint that offers sweet potato pies is Korean pizza chain Pizza Maru — it allows customers to upgrade to crusts filled with sweet potato mousse and cheese.

1 of 4 Sweet Potato Stuffed Crust Hawaiian Pizza, $27.90 for regular 9-inch, $33.90 for large 12-inch

Expect your traditional Hawaiian Pizza with chicken ham and pineapple chunks, plus the addition of sweet potato mousse and melted cheese nestled in its crust. The mousse comprises Malaysian orange sweet potatoes mixed with regular spuds, cream and butter. Holes in the crust allow the orange mash to ooze out — for the 'gram, we suppose.

  • 2 of 4 Sweet Potato Stuffed Crust Spicy Hawaiian Pizza, $27.90 for regular 9-inch, $33.90 for large 12-inch

Along with chicken ham and pineapple bits, this version has chunks of chicken marinated in a spicy chilli sauce.

3 of 4 Sweet Potato Beef Stew, $17.90 a la carte, $18.90 as set meal (dine-in exclusive)

Other than pizza, the tuber also stars in this stew. Beef chunks are slow cooked with carrots and mushrooms in a rich gravy, topped with smooth sweet potato mash, cheddar, mozzarella and parsley. The set meal includes a Soup of The Day and a soft drink.

  • 4 of 4 Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, $7.50 ala carte, $6 as add-on (dine-In exclusive)

You’ve heard of sweet potato fries, but these crispy waffle-style ones are apparently the first in Singapore.

All items available at Pizza Hut outlets island-wide till 16 July 2019, while stocks last.
