Would You Like Some Christmas Fruit Cake & Bandung With Your Kit Kat?
There are a total of 3 new X’mas flavours and 5 local ones.
Kit Kat Chocolatory, the candy bar’s premium handcrafted line of products, launched its pop-up store in Singapore back in April at VivoCity (it now has another one at Jewel Changi Airport). Some of the earlier limited-edition flavours included Durian Delight and Traditional Nasi Lemak. For the upcoming festive season, the Kit Kat Chocolatory is back with five new local flavours and three Christmassy ones. Check them out.
If you always order chocolate prata at your usual kopitiam joint, then this may sound good to you. The Roti Prata with Fish Curry Kit Kat has a milk chocolate base and is, according to the brand’s PR rep, topped with “crispy prata pastry are made using similar ingredients to real roti prata”. We’re not sure we like the sound of fish curry with chocolate, though.
This one is inspired by Singapore’s famous 328 Katong Laksa and we’re told the milk chocolate wafer is topped with actual chunks of tau pok and laksa leaves dusted with laksa powder.
Another one of Singapore’s iconic desserts. A milk chocolate base topped with desiccated coconut and crushed cookies shaped like yam and sweet potato chunks. Sounds cute.
White chocolate infused with rose flavoured extract and topped with rose petals and freeze-dried raspberry pieces. More atas than the kopitiam version.
The previous Chocolatory launch saw a Chendol Kit Kat, but this time, it’s spiked with the king of fruits. Freeze-dried durians are blitzed into a powder and incorporated into a mixture of milk and white chocolate tinged with coconut and gula melaka.
’Tis the season for eating all things decadent. Why not this in-theme milk choc bar studded with mixed dried fruits, cinnamon, and nutmeg. We haven’t tried it yet, but apparently it’s drizzled in red and green for a festive pop of colour.
Made with ginger and a hint of cinnamon, the choc wafer bars are topped with individually handcrafted gingerbread men. How cute.
Also part of the Christmas collection, though we don’t quite see the connection. Anyhow, it’s flavoured like the Italian coffee-and-mascarpone cheese dessert, but sprinkled with crushed roasted hazelnuts for crunch.
