Eddie Kwan’s Daughter Signing Contract With TVB; He Says He’s Open To Playing A Couple With Her
He's surely joking, right?
Eddie Kwan’s daughter Fabienne Kwan was a hot favourite to win the crown at the recent Miss Hong Kong 2021 pageant. However, in a shock upset, the 26-year-old only made the top five, which led many to wonder if this was the end of her showbiz journey.
After all, TVB contracts are only guaranteed for the winners, while only the luckier unplaced contestants will be offered a job.
Eddie, 59, allayed these concerns at a recent press event for his upcoming drama The Kwoks And What, and he confirmed that Fabienne will become a TVB artiste soon.
“Making it into the top 12 [in the Miss Hong Kong competition] means that they’ve done their homework, but it’s the top five that are appreciated by the company (…), said Eddie. My daughter is interested in hosting work once she joins TVB and will continue to run her baking business at the same time.”
When asked if he would be open to acting with Fabienne, Eddie said, “We’ve heard about father-son collaborations on screen, so I think it’s time that we have father-daughter dramas too. I wouldn’t mind playing a couple with her either (laughs).
He's clearly joking, right?
