If you follow Mandopop king Jay Chou on Instagram, you’d know that the star is currently in Paris with his family.
According to reports, the 42-year-old is in the French capital to shoot his new music video as well as the second season of his travel series J-Style Trip.
The first season, which aired on Netflix last year, saw the superstar traipsing around the globe with celeb pals like JJ Lin, Nicholas Tse, and Jam Hsiao.
If you thought the guest line-up was impressive, he’s upped the star power by several notches this time round.
According to a netizen who tipped off Apple Daily, the guests joining Jay on his travels this time around are international stars.
And while the netizen didn’t reveal any names, he did hint that a bald action star will be making an appearance.
This has led to speculation that the actor is Dwayne Johnson, whom Jay’s wife, Hannah Quinlivan worked with on 2018 action movie Skyscraper.
Though Jay and Dwayne are friendly and have been photographed together, some are skeptical that the latter, who is one of the biggest movie stars in the world, would make an appearance in the travelogue.
The production team has also denied that Dwayne will be making a cameo on the show.
One action star that is confirmed to be making an appearance, however, is Jean-Claude Van Damme.
It is understood that the Belgian star specially flew from Romania to Paris for the shoot and he shared a pic of him and Jay having a meal on Instagram yesterday (Sep 20).
“I had great times with the Mandopop King of Asia @jaychou in #paris. Thanks for @willliu107 @markggzz your perfect arrangement from China. I wish all my Chinese friends over the world Happy Mid-Autumn Festival❤️ J-Style Trip coming soon… (sic),” he wrote.
Another notable name that has been linked to the series is football star Lionel Messi after Jay shared pics of him and Hannah catching the Argentine footballer’s debut for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the Parc des Princes stadium yesterday.
Not only was Jay was given the VIP treatment, snagging pics with PSG stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, he was also treated to a surprise by the football team.
