An Official Pokémon Home Collection — Including Snorlax Rugs, Pikachu Sofas — Is Launching In Japan
Gotta catch ’em all.
Pokémon fans will soon be able to transform their homes into the Pokémon paradise of their dreams.
An official Pokémon furniture and home décor collection is launching in Japan on Oct 16, with pre-orders starting on Oct 14, at the official Pokémon Center and Amazon Japan. However, ordering and shipping the items to Singapore might be tricky — the sites are in Japanese and there’s no word on whether there’s international shipping. One can only hope that the Pokémon store in Singapore will have stock someday… or that they surface on Carousell soon.
In the meantime, you can still gawk at the Pokémon-themed decor collection. After all, these aren’t kid-centric merch or home furnishings that cater only to diehard fans, okay? The Pokémon home collection has pieces that are subtle and stylish that even non-fans would appreciate.
From far, the Pikachu sofa looks like a vibrant yellow mid-century modern sofa set. Up close, you’ll realise that the houndstooth-esque print is actually a cute Pikachu print. A one-seater Pikachu sofa is priced at 154,000 yen (S$1,837), and the two-seater goes for 199,100 yen (S$2,375).
If you’ve got 111,100 yen ($1,325) to spare, this Poké-ball side table is a fun touch for the living room of a true-blue Pokémon fan.
Probably the most adorable piece from the collection, the Snorlax rug (44,000 yen) is bound to be a talking point in any home transformation.
Other rugs are available too (9,350 yen).
Sweet dreams are made of these Pokémon bedsheets (from 10,450 yen). Available in four designs — Ghost, Pikachu, Partner Pokemon and Eevee prints.
Pokémon-themed curtains are also available in the same four fabric designs.
