This Week’s Best-Dressed Local Stars: Jul 3-10
The most stylish celeb OOTDs of the week.
Leather proved to be a favourite among stylish stars like Desmond Tan and Zoe Tay this week. Meanwhile, Ann Kok and Jean Danker opted for cutesy print and girly frills, and Felicia Chin looked like walking art.
Swimwear but make it fashion — that must been what Jean thought when dressing up for a trip to the pool. Her frilly swim set is equal parts cutesy and girly and the red flower is the cherry on top.
Also looking sweet (and exceptionally youthful!) is Ann in an adorable furry Betty Boop top. She balanced out the look by reaching for a pair of timeless drawstring pants.
We like how this logomania shorts set by Dior exudes elegance and sporty vibes without appearing overly splashy.
Dapper Desmond enlivened his smart casual getup by layering an oversized leather bomber jacket and gloves (check out the clashing colours!) by Prada. Cool as it might be, we can’t help but get hitman/serial killer vibes from this look.
Carrie got creative with her OOTD this week, pairing a white low-cut bodysuit with a classic tan trench coat and Rimowa crossbody. Hot!
Zoe’s two-tone leather dress, jacket and boots combine to make this a fierce and fabulous combo. We also love that they look edgy yet ladylike, nailing two contrasting looks in one outfit.
Clad in a black utilitarian-inspired combo that dripped attitude, Jesseca was all set to catch the Dior Couture show earlier this week. Wish she'd swap those white baby doll shoes for black stilettos or something sexier.
We think that Felicia’s Acne Studios long shirt dress isn’t just a comfy piece to wear on any day of the week, its breathtakingly beautiful prints make it a walking art piece too.
Looking camera-ready, Becks was clad in a Gucci getup this week while on a trip to the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay. We can’t help but be reminded of how NDP-appropriate her sweater is, thanks to the colourful stars. Now if only it comes in red and white for a patriotic look.
While grey suits are a great option for boardroom meetings, they tend to make the wearer look older than he is. We’re glad that Zetong balanced it out by opting for a bright checked shirt and white sneakers for a more energetic look.
While we couldn’t quite pinpoint the look that Jade was going for, her mismatched pieces — the bucket hat, short sleeve jacket, cropped top and denim shorts — managed to look quite cool for a trip to the beach. We’re now inspired to try mismatching our clothes.
Clad in a black and white weekend-friendly two-piece, Sonia looked pretty pleased when she checked out her new apartment’s reno progress. We love that she paired it with a green pillowy bag that injected a pop of colour to her outfit.
No prizes for guessing what Hong Ling’s favourite childhood cartoon was. Her all-black ensemble made more eye-catching thanks to the Pink Panther embellished on her top. It’s a cute yet cool getup for a night out.
Jeremy, who recently signed with Mediacorp, nailed tonal dressing to a tee. Instead of going for solid colours, he upped the ante by reaching for a bright green and white gingham short sleeve shirt, looking especially vibrant and youthful.
If we had to dress up for a Zoom meeting, this is exactly what we would wear. Love how breezy and chic Tanya looks in the roomy shirt and pants.
Aside from Tanya, Hanwei was also in the mood for roomy cuts, and he looked just as stylish too. His Doraemon print T-shirt paired with blue and white gingham trousers make for a fresh and boyish look.
Not all checked prints are created equal. The window pane checks on Denise’s one-shoulder number add a grown-up and graceful appeal to her flirty frock.
We’re loving Diana’s retro-meets-modern ensemble above, comprising of a ribbed polo shirt (which is both sporty and stylish), high waist loose cut jeans (remember the ’70s?), platform heels and a weaved hobo bag.
Another day, another scene-stealing #OOTD from Jade. Here, she layered a bold pink long blazer, juxtaposing her black getup underneath. Oh, and she totally pulled off the carrying of two Chanel bags (colour coordinated to match her outfit, of course).
A head-to-toe nude look can be a risky style move because you might end up looking, well, like you’re not wearing anything. Kelly nailed her tone-on-tone ensemble by avoiding anything too body skimming. Her safari adventurer meets city girl look is a sporty and stylish getup that we adore.
