Moka Fang Asks Netizens To Help Choose Which Designer Bag To Get; Says Husband Aaron Kwok Usually Tells Her To “Buy All Of Them”
Her quip is in response to a netizen calling Aaron stingy .
When most people say they like something enough to want it in every colour, they’re usually talking about inexpensive items like T-shirts or socks, but we guess when you’re a Hongkong Heavenly King, you can literally afford to say that about high-end luxury items.
Recently, Chinese model Moka Fang aka Mrs Aaron Kwok posted a mirror selfie of herself holding two Dior Book Totes in different colours while shopping at the brand’s boutique.
“I’m looking for a bag with a large capacity that’s good for going out with the babies and that looks great as well,” wrote the 34-year-old mother-of-two. “The blue is not bad and the pink is a new design, and I also saw a white satchel that was so pretty. I’m feeling indecisive, everyone please help me choose one!”
According to reports, the Dior Book Tote costs HK$24,500 (about S$4,200), while the white one, which appears to be the Dior Bobby East-West bag, retails for S$4,500 on the Dior Singapore website.
While price tags like that — those handbags are more expensive than most of the latest Apple MacBooks, by the way — are usually way out of a normal person's budget, we doubt they’d unnerve folks like Aaron, who can afford to splurge “a seven-figure sum” on artwork, and Moka, who once casually did a photo shoot with a HK$150,000 (S$26,000) Chanel paddle board.
We suppose that’s why one not-very-friendly netizen decided to leave a not-so-nice comment saying: “Your husband is so rich, he shouldn’t be so stingy.” (In other words: Just shut up and take them all.)
Instead of letting the remark slide, Moka opted to clap back at the hater with a dash of #humblebragging thrown in for good measure, replying: “Yes, I usually struggle when it comes to choosing a colour and he (Aaron) would tell me to just buy all of them, but in this case, one is enough.”
Her response earned her praise from other netizens, and it was noted just how generous Aaron is when it comes to his missus.
In other news, Aaron celebrated his 56th birthday on Tuesday (Oct 26) and shared a few photos from his party, thanking everyone for their blessings and wishing all good health and good fortune as well.
One of the pictures shows him and Moka posing behind his many birthday cakes with their daughters, four-year-old Chantelle and two-year-old Charlotte, offering a rare glimpse at the girls’ faces.
While their eyes are covered by stickers, it’s still apparent that the little lasses have inherited their parent’s good looks.
And speaking of good looks, netizens were amazed at how well Aaron has managed to maintain himself for someone who’s just a few years away from turning 60, with one commenting that it looks like he’s “celebrating his 30th birthday” instead.
