Former Mediacorp actress Carole Lin’s five-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, features quite often on the 48-year-old’s Instagram. Remember this post in which Brooklyn and Vincent Ng’s son Zander had a playdate?

However, Carole's recent post showing Brooklyn at a playground had us doing a double-take.

“[Looking] like a tornado just crossed her path…My [crazy-haired] baby (only 5+) looking so grown-up!” Carole wrote in her caption.

Carole’s friends also chimed in to express their surprise at how grown up Brooklyn looks in the pic, with one commenting that Brooklyn “seems to have shot up quite a bit”.

Lin Meijiao also left a message, calling Brooklyn a “natural beauty”.

A quick scroll through Carole’s Instagram reveals that Brooklyn has always been really tall.

Just look at how she's already at her 1.71m tall-mum’s waist in this pic.

At the rate she’s growing, we wouldn’t be surprised if Brooklyn eventually becomes taller than Carole.

    Carole tied the knot with American-born Korean chiropractor David Lim in 2014 and Carole gave birth to Brooklyn the next year.

    Carole, who left Mediacorp in 2009 after 14 years as a full-time artiste, is best known for her role as Wang Qiumei in 1997’s The Price of Peace, for which she was named Best Actress at the Star Awards the same year.
