Quiz of the week

How well do you know the news? Test your knowledge.

Remember when a simple clip of JJ Lin shifting his bag at a Joo Chiat eatery went viral earlier this year?

Well, this time, it appears that JJ has taken things into his own hands, posting a video of him tucking into a meal on his IG Story before any surreptitiously-taken videos go viral.

1 of 3 That's a very luxurious cai png meal right there

On Thursday (Aug 12), JJ posted the clip showing off his lunch — a simple cai png meal at a hawker centre.

Or well, not so simple, ‘cos it appears that the high-SES singer sprung for a 3 veg, 1 meat and 1 fish combo. Ballin’.

“First meal OUT in 4 months (sic)” JJ wrote, giving everyone a quick look at his meal, before panning his camera to reveal his surroundings.

2 of 3 Smile, you're on JJ's Instagram!

And even though the singer was unmasked, since he was about to tuck into his lunch, no one around the singer appeared to recognise JJ, and that's even after looking directly at his phone's camera.

Or maybe they were just too paiseh to approach JJ?

  • 3 of 3 It'll be a while before he can dine at restaurants

In any case, it seems like JJ will have to dine out at hawker centres and coffee shops for the next month or so since he only got his first COVID-19 vaccine shot on July 30.

So for fans of the singer, you might want to keep your eyes peeled for JJ the next time you’re at your neighbourhood hawker centre or kopitiam.
