Leon Jay Williams Has Had Enough Of The Media Speculating About His Wife's Identity
They've been married for six years and have a kid together but little is known about his Taiwanese wife.
Singaporean actor Leon Jay Williams’s baby daughter, Harper, is no stranger to his many fans. After all, the proud papa has no qualms talking about the five-year-old on his socials, often posting pictures of the cute kid to go along with his thoughts.
On the other hand, information about the 44-year-old’s wife of six years is much harder to come by. In fact, all the general public knows is that the couple dated for nine years before tying the knot, and that she’s a 42-year-old Taiwanese named Joyce.
And Leon would very much like things to to stay this way, thankyouverymuch.
Unfortunately, living in the public eye means having loads of kaypoh reporters and netizens coming up with the most inane, not to mention untrue, speculations about every little detail of your life.
Which gave rise to this lengthy post by Leon last week (Nov 19), where he proceeded to blast “certain media” in both English and Chinese, for their “irresponsible reporting”.

I do understand as a public figure,I have to accept both positive and negative news but this has gone too far when my own friends and acquaintances get dragged into the news especially without proper research.
Apparently, reports keep assuming every other female I have a photo with is my wife.Hurtful comments by online trolls is one thing but hurtful comments by professional media is on a whole new level.
Although, can we really label these reporters as ‘professional’?
For the record,I have never put out a clear photo of my wife due to privacy reasons so I will appreciate it if the media stop guessing on her looks and insulting every other person I have a pic with.
Sometimes I’m amazed at how shallow this world still is even with all its advancements.
There is still so much to do to develop mutual respect and humility.” he wrote in English, with the Chinese caption pretty much mirroring the above.
Netizens and fans alike quickly left comments condemning the actions of these media, at the same time, showing support for Leon. The actor later left another comment on his initial post, thanking everyone for their support as well.
I will not let these reports get me down as I know I always have the love and support from all of you! Only the opinion of people who care for me matter! Thank you,” he wrote.
