Remember when Hongkong celeb couple Anita Yuen and Julian Cheung’s son, Morton, was just a little doe-eyed boy whom we’ll catch an occasional glimpse of on his parents’ socials?

Well, it seems like Morton has grown up quite a bit since then.

1 of 4 Morton is Anita's "bodyguard"

Recently, Anita, who returned to Hongkong after wrapping up filming for an upcoming drama in Shanghai, headed out for a bit of retail therapy.

And who better to accompany her than 13-year-old Morton?

Soon, pictures of mother and son on their shopping trip soon found their way online.

While Morton was pretty much the embodiment of a very, very bored tween during the whole trip, with his eyes trained on his handphone for the whole of Anita’s shopping trip, Anita looked to be having a great time, engaging in conversation with the sales assistant.

A number of netizens also noted that Morton has grown significantly taller in the past year.

In the last photo Anita uploaded of Morton, which was posted in July 2019, the boy barely reached up to her chin.

Now, Morton is almost taller than Anita, who’s 1.7m tall. And apparently a very sweet boy too as he can be seen carrying his mum's shopping for her when they exited the mall.

On September 25, Anita also uploaded a picture of Morton heading off to school on her socials. While Morton appeared embarrassed by his mum’s show of support, commenting a simple “why on her post, netizens were markedly excited by the post.
