Cecilia Cheung And Family Allegedly Kicked Off Flight For Causing Commotion Before Take-Off
And it just so happened that a netizen was there to witness it all.
Hongkong actress Cecilia Cheung made headlines once again yesterday (March 10) after an Apple Daily reader filmed her getting hauled off her flight after allegedly causing a disturbance onboard just before take-off.
The 39-year-old, who was on a family vacation in Koh Samui, was on a flight back to Hongkong when she reportedly became agitated with an air stewardess who had told her to take her seat so as to not disturb the other passengers from boarding.
Footage of the incident showed Ceci carrying her youngest son, one-year-old Marcus, in the middle of business class aisle, seemingly trying to coax him to sleep. A flight attendant soon approached her, telling her to take her seat. An unhappy Ceci then reportedly got into an argument with the attendant.
“The air stewardess said that she was blocking the way and because of that they both started quarreling. After that, I heard the attendant telling her loudly to get off the plane. Many security guards were brought on board. After squabbling for almost an hour, Cecilia and her entire family, including two helpers, three children and her brother, finally disembarked,” the reader claimed.
According to him, the incident also annoyed the rest of the passengers because it was causing their flight to be delayed. “Everyone wished that Ceci would just hurry up and get off the plane,” he added.
“She was one of the first groups to board the plane. I don’t think she intentionally meant to block the aisle. It was just because she was carrying her baby, which made her actions slower. And she was unhappy because the stewardess hurried her to take her seat. When I walked by, I could hear her telling her younger brother that they were getting told off by the stewardess. He was quite triggered,” the reader explained.
Cecilia and her family were eventually escorted away by security guards and she was seen passing Marcus to one of her helpers. She also appeared calm as she typed away on her phone after getting into an airport buggy.
According to Apple Daily, the group managed to find an alternative flight, and they flew from Koh Samui to Bangkok before returning to Hongkong later that day.
