As we’ve seen from a few previous examples, getting a little extra attention for looking like a famous celebrity can sometimes help one get a boost in their career.

For a former courier from Chongqing, China named Yibo, it even helped him achieve his entrepreneurial dreams and become a rich man.

When Yibo was still delivering packages, he would often be praised for his good looks, with some customers even commenting that he resembles Hongkong singer-actor Nicholas Tse. This apparently earned him the title of “Most Handsome Courier”.

Not content with being a delivery guy forever, Yibo decided to take advantage of his unique situation. He quit his job and took out his savings to undergo multiple cosmetic surgeries that made him look virtually indistinguishable from the real Nicholas.

Yibo didn’t just copy the star’s physical appearance — he watched videos of Nic every day to study the latter’s mannerisms, and soon began speaking and behaving exactly like him.

With his ‘transformation’ complete, Yibo began participating in variety shows and celebrity impersonation competitions (which are apparently a very hot thing in China), where he found fame as “Nicholas Tse’s twin brother”.

He then changed his name to Yifeng (FYI: Nic’s Chinese name is Xie Tingfeng).

Still, the very forward-thinking Yifeng knew that he needed a more long-term career plan and set his sights on other, more stable ventures.

With the money he made from his showbiz activities as Nic’s doppelgänger, Yifeng launched his own company and became the boss of his own team of celebrity impersonators, who have gone on to perform in various parts of the country.

The business has been so wildly successful that Yifeng reportedly became a “millionaire” at the age of 25.

So, if anyone wants to hire doppëlganger of famous figures like martial arts legend Bruce Lee, Taiwanese musician Jonathan Lee, and Chinese comedian Zhao Benshan, you know where to look.
