After going into hiding for eight months, Asia’s most famous mistress Jacqueline Wong is back in Hongkong. She touched down at the Hongkong airport at 6.53am this morning and was received by her sister Scarlett Wong’s manager as well as two minders from TVB. Also waiting for her was a barrage of reporters who somehow knew that she was returning home.

The actress, who was dating Kenneth Ma when she was caught making out with Sammi Cheng’s hubby Andy Hui in the back of cab in April, was said to be teary-eyed when she walked out of the arrival gate. “I’m so happy, I’m finally home!” she told the reporters. “The past eight months, I tried really hard to live my life. I heard that there has been a lot of speculation [on what I’ve been up to] but I’ve only been trying to live my life and I would love to move on and look forward. I made a mistake, and I’m trying really hard to live with it, to learn from it. Whatever I have wanted to say or have said, I’ve already said it in private. I would not be responding to anymore questions about the incident. Now that I’m back, my priority is to spend time with my family. Thank you all for concern during this period.”

Jacqueline also clarified the rumours that she had changed her name and was working as a real estate agent in Canada.

“Firstly, I didn’t change my name and I didn’t change career,” she revealed. As for whether she really went for an acting course, all Jacqueline said was: “I was trying to live my life.”

She was then asked if she was facing financial trouble, to which she replied: “After the incident, there's been a lot of rumours and I will not be responding to them.” It was reported that she was fighting back her tears while answering that question but her emotions eventually got the better of her and she started to sob. She was then escorted out of airport by her team.

It’s still not known if Jacqueline has any new projects lined up but according to reports, her drama Finding Her Voice did really well ratings-wise and that two of her dramas, The Offliners and Handmaidens United, that were filmed before the scandal had been screened overseas. It was also reported that Handmaidens United has been scheduled to be shown in Hongkong during the Chinese New Year period. So we guess she’s no longer in TVB’s bad books?
