You don’t get more professional than this. JJ Lin recently gave his first performance in the city of Xiangyang in Hubei, China. But things almost didn’t go as planned. The singer posted this message on Weibo after his gig on Jul 27: “I learned the most important lesson on stage and that’s no matter how tough, you have to persevere till the end, that it's a task I must complete. Yesterday, halfway through my performance, I felt as if I was going to have heatstroke — I had difficulty breathing and I was feeling giddy. But I told myself that I couldn’t let the audience down and that I had to finish my performance!”

It was reported that on the day of JJ’s performance, temperatures in Xiangyang soared to a toasty 35 degrees Celsius. It didn’t help that JJ had to perform his fast dance tracks in thick, heavy costumes. His message worried his fans so much that they bombarded his Weibo with messages asking him to wear lighter and airier costumes.

“Please change the outfits you wear for your performances, you have to take care of your health. Nothing is more important than you being well,” wrote one fan. “Can you wear short sleeves the next time? You can perspire even by just sitting down and not moving, let alone singing and dancing for three straight hours,” said another.

8days.sg contacted JJ’s publicist who responded with the singer's reply: “During my performance, my head was throbbing with immense pain. But after the concert, I immediately drank a lot of sports drinks to hydrate myself. And I feel a lot better after a nap. Thanks everyone for their concern!”
