Lin Ching Hsia, Zhen Zhen & '50s Screen Goddess Ge Lan Had A "Gathering Of Beauties" And Netizens Loved It
Ge Lan is looking absolutely fabulous for someone who recently turned 88.
Earlier this month, Lin Ching Hsia, 66, shared that she had successfully lost 12kg in half a year by adopting a healthier and more active lifestyle, and new photos of the retired Taiwanese screen siren show just how fantastic she looks.
Last week, veteran Hongkong journalist Wong Man Ling posted a few pictures from a belated birthday celebration for ‘50s Hongkong idol Grace Chang aka Ge Lan, who turned 88 in June, and Taiwanese actress Zhen Zhen, whose 73rd birthday was two weeks ago.
Also at the party was Ching Hsia, and according to Man Ling’s caption, even “the great beauty” herself couldn’t stop complimenting Ge Lan, saying: “Aunty Ge Lan is the prettiest.”
In fact, netizens had nothing but praise for all the women there.
Gushing comments include: “I envy this kind of friendship, they are all so beautiful”, “Wow, it’s been a while since we last saw Ching Hsia jie jie”, “A gathering of beauties, amazing”, and “Ching Hsia jie has lost weight”.
Ching Hsia and Zhen Zhen, who was once married to former matinee idol Patrick Tse, are known to be close friends and often meet up to have tea together. But this recent gathering proves that they aren’t the only classic screen beauties in their circle.
Ge Lan, for those who are too young to know, was one of the most popular stars in Hongkong in the ‘50s and ‘60s, and was especially known for her musicals like Mambo Girl, Spring Song, and The Wild, Wild Rose.
Two of her songs, ‘Wo Yao Ni De Ai’ and ‘Wo Yao Fei Shang Qing Tian’, were featured in 2018’s Crazy Rich Asians.
