Chinese superstar couple Huang Xiaoming, 42, and Angelababy, 30, recently triggered divorce rumours again when they performed separately at the CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival Gala on September 13. It was also alleged that they slept in different rooms at the hotel they stayed at.

When the couple arrived back in Shanghai after the gala, fans were shocked to find out that the couple weren't even on the same flight.

“Baby is on the next flight?” asked a fan when he spotted Xiaoming on the airport’s travellator. Upon hearing the question, Xiaoming reportedly appeared flustered and started to wipe the sweat from his face. He then walked off without answering the question.

Xiaoming’s fishy behaviour led many netizens to believe that the couple’s four-year marriage is indeed over.

“I really think they have divorced. Maybe they’ve signed a contract which doesn’t let them announce the divorce yet,” guessed a netizen.

A while later, it was Angelababy's turn to appear at the airport But what caught everyone’s eye was the actress-model’s bright green cap. To the Chinese, wearing a green hat is an expression used to describe a man who has been cuckolded by his cheating wife.

“Does she mean someone’s cheating?” a fan wrote. “Also, it isn’t normal for a married couple to be boarding separate planes…”

But there were also netizens who defended the couple, telling kaypoh fans to mind their own business. “Don’t assume anything. Let them have their personal space,” wrote one such follower.

And just like that the rumour mill over Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming's marriage continues churning... unfortunate fashion faux pas on Angelababy’s part notwithstanding.
