When Hongkong actress Fennie Yuen Kit Ying appeared on a talk show in June, all netizens could talk about was how they thought that she looked “too thin”. They also expressed concern that the 52-year-old, who battled an eating disorder in the '90s, might have had a relapse.

Fennie quickly addressed the issue, saying that she's doing just fine. She also added that she no longer feels affected by people criticising her for being too skinny as she knows that she's healthy.

Fennie's appearance on a talk show in June had netizens wondering if she's unwell again.

Now, just a month later, netizens are singing a different tune when it comes to what they think of Fennie.

And it has to do with new photos of her at a recent gathering with other media personalities.

Netizens are now saying that the actress looks happy and healthy , and they somehow think their criticism of her is why Fennie's glowing now.

“We’re often too critical about people who don’t fit in to our standards of beauty. We really shouldn’t be nagging at her to put on more weight because she knows what’s best for her body, said one such netizen.

Netizens also believe that her hanging out with her showbiz friends means that she's open to picking up a new acting project .

The last time Fennie was seen on screen was in 2014 TVB drama Never Dance Alone.

Fennie shot to fame in the early ‘90s after starring in blockbusters such as Swordsman and The Tai-Chi Master. She was also known as one of the Happy Girls alongside actresses May Lo, Rachel Lee and Bonnie Law because of her involvement in the popular The Happy Ghost franchise.

Fennie faded out of the spotlight in the early noughties because her mental health had been badly affected by all the media attention on her.
