As we all know, these days when JJ Lin holds a concert, it gets sold out in the blink of an eye. It also means that the 37-year-old Singaporean singer is big draw for concert organisers, who are almost guaranteed to make a profit on the back of JJ's popularity. Which is where this story comes in. A Taiwanese businessman named Mr Luo reported to Apple Daily last week that he was conned of about NT 50mil (S$2.24mil) when he was promised the license to hold JJ's Sanctuary World Tour 2018 in China. The cheating entity, Guangzhou Artis Company, produced contracts with JJ's signature to Mr Luo, and enticed him with a cheaper licensing fee of about 1mil RMB per concert. Mr Luo remitted part of the sum over last August, and in December read online that JJ's tour in China had been confirmed but had nothing to do with Guangzhou Artis company, thus realising he had been scammed.
