1 of 9 Jay Chou (S$30.6mil)

It stands to reason that Jay will definitely be featured in this article. The pop star lives in a gorgeous penthouse apartment that he bought in 2015, after tying the knot with Taiwanese-Australian model-actress Hannah Quinlivan.

The NT$660mil ($30.6mil) penthouse is located on the top floor of Peace Palace, a high-rise apartment building in the Da’an District. Spanning 268 sq metres, his apartment occupies the entire floor, and boasts expansive views of landmarks like the Da’An Forest Park, Taipei 101, and Danshui River.

And of course, the walls of his apartment are decorated with artworks that are reportedly worth over NT$100mil (S$4.78mil).

2 of 9 Charles Heung (S$28.7mil)

The Hongkong film producer and his wife, Tiffany Chen are rolling in cash. They reportedly bought two spacious apartments worth NT$600mil each (S$28.7mil) in Beijing and Taiwan, just to spend more time with their granddaughter.

Charles’ son, actor Jacky Heung, and his wife, Taiwanese actress Bea Hayden, welcomed their first child in October last year, and the couple have been based in Taiwan since. Back when Bea first gave birth, Tiffany reportedly gifted the couple the Beijing apartment as a push present.

Currently, it appears that Charles and Tiffany are staying with Jacky and Bea in Taiwan, and Charles has been snapped walking home with his daughter-in-law and granddaughter. They reportedly live in the 55 Timeless, a residential skyscraper located just minutes away from Taipei 101. Each apartment reportedly has its own lift lobby too.

3 of 9 Show Luo (S$22.6mil)

Remember when the singer made headlines for attempting to build his own rooftop swimming pool, without the proper permits? Well, it appears that Show’s penthouse apartment isn’t the only unit he owns in that particular development.

According to reports, he also has two apartments on the 17th floor, which he bought for NT$210mil (S$10mil) in 2013. His penthouse apartment is also made up of two separate units, that he bought in 2017 for NT$270mil (S$12.6mil).

4 of 9 JJ Lin (S$19.2mil)

Of course, JJ Lin is on this list. The Singaporean singer, who’s based in Taiwan, has quite a number of properties there.

He reportedly owns a NT$63mil apartment (S$3mil) in the Da’an district, two units in a luxury high-rise building in the Neihu district worth NT$400mil (S$19.2mil), and another apartment located in the same district, worth NT$203mil (S$9.7mil). That’s a whole lotta real estate.

And we can’t leave out the jaw-dropping mini house tour JJ gave Hongkong singer Jackson Wang over IG Live earlier this year. Talk about living in the lap of luxury.

5 of 9 Wang Leehom (S$19.2mil)

Tied for fourth place with JJ at NT$400 mil (S$19.2mil) is fellow singer Wang Leehom.

In 2017, Leehom splashed that amount on a penthouse apartment in Ren’ai Road. The 6,406 sq ft apartment is crazy huge, with a gorgeous view of the city, and of course, ample space for the singer to display his many trophies.

6 of 9 Jaycee Chan, Barbie Hsu, Elva Hsiao (S$11.4 - S$17.1mil)

Celeb neighbours, anyone?

Jaycee, Barbie and Elva all own apartments in this building in Xinyi District.

Jaycee’s mum, former Taiwanese actress Lin Fengjiao, reportedly bought a NT$240mil (S$11.4mil) apartment for Jaycee after his big drug scandal in 2014.

Three years later, Barbie and her Chinese businessman (ex?)-husband, Wang Xiaofei, bought the building’s penthouse for NT$360mil (S$17.1mil).

And for yet another dose of star power, there’s Elva Hsiao too, who owns an apartment in the building, and reportedly frequents the gym there.

  • 7 of 9 Stella Chang (S$14.3mil)

Last year, ‘90s Taiwanese singer Stella Chang walked away with a reported NT$1.6bil (S$75.5mil) settlement after her divorce from ex-husband Sung Hsueh-jen aka the “godfather of investment banking”.

And that amount includes this NT$300mil (S$14.3mil) apartment, that's located on the 22nd floor of the UDN Building. Stella’s neighbours include billionaire businessman Tsai Hong-tu, amongst other industry titans.

  • 8 of 9 Jam Hsiao (S$9.5mil)

Two words — eight-storey mansion. The singer’s not-so-humble home, which he bought in 2017 for NT$200mil (S$9.5mil), comes with its own indoor basketball court, swimming pool, and garage, where he keeps all his supercars. Click here to read all about it.

  • 9 of 9 Vic Chou (S$9mil)

The singer lives in a NT$190mil (S$9mil) apartment located in Da’an district, with his wife, Taiwanese actress Reen Yu, and their five-year-old daughter.

The 1819 sq ft apartment reportedly costs NT$1.35mil (S$60,000) per square metre, and is very popular among celebs too. Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin and Taiwanese singer Cyndi Wang reportedly live in the same building as well.
