Fashion designer Vera Wang is known for her gorgeous wedding dress designs… and being super fit at 72 as well.

And when she celebrated her 72nd birthday recently, Vera did it in style, hosting a big party for all her designer friends.

After the party, which also doubled up as the launch for her prosecco brand, aptly titled ”PARTY”, Vera took to her Instagram to share a number of snaps of her partying it up with her friends.

But like everyone else, Vera’s not immune to the occasional bad picture.

As it turns out, fellow fashion designer Donna Karan, of fashion brand DKNY fame, was one of the many invited to Vera’s party. And it seems like the two didn’t really manage to take much pictures together ‘cos when Donna took to her Instagram to wish Vera a happy birthday, it was with a less-than-flattering shot of the latter.

And it appears that the photo has gone viral on the Chinese version of TikTok, Douyin, with a large number of Chinese netizens leaving comments on Donna’s post, poking fun at Vera.

“I came here from Douyin,” one netizen announced, while another wrote: “I feel like [Donna] posted this picture on purpose”.

Another netizen also wrote this really relatable comment: “This is what I look like when other people post pictures of me.”

This final comment, however, really takes the cake: “I think [Vera] probably would not invite you to her next birthday party”.

Oops.

Other netizens also speculated that Vera must be “heavily editing” all the pictures that she posts on her personal Instagram, since there’s such a huge discrepancy between the picture Donna posted, and the pictures Vera shared.
