What Did One Fan Do To Make Alex Man Glare At Him At An Event In China?
The Golden Pillow star, 63, is still as energetic and popular as ever.
Veteran Hongkong actor and The Golden Pillow star Alex Man sure has been busy for someone who announced his retirement in 2016.
Besides slowly making his acting comeback (his role in 2019’s I’m Livin’ It even got him nominated for Best Supporting Actor at last year’s Hongkong Film Awards), the 63-year-old is often invited to perform in China, where he’s still popular enough to attract large crowds of adoring fans.
Recently, netizens posted videos of Alex attending an event at a nightclub where he behaved like a superstar, with at least 10 bodyguards surrounding him as he smiled and waved to the throng of admirers that had gathered to see him.
However, disaster struck when an excited male fan, who had leaned forward to greet and take a photo of Alex, presumably stepped on the star’s foot by accident.
This little mishap prompted Alex’s cheerful demeanour to change, and he angrily demanded, “Who stepped on my shoe?” while turning to glare at the fan with a fierce expression.
The ‘perpetrator’ was then quickly shoved away by one of the bodyguards and prevented from getting any closer to Alex.
Clips of Alex performing later that night were also shared, and they showed just how energetic he is for someone his age… and for someone who previously decided to stop working due to diabetes and ‘cos filming a movie “requires a lot of physical effort”.
Something else that stood out was the audience, which included many attractive and fashionable young women, all waving their hands in the air, cheering, and snapping shots of Alex as if he were a hot young heartthrob (or Heavenly King).
