Good news for fans of Japanese pop culture!

Starting from Sept 15, meWATCH will offer a new subscription plan featuring linear and on-demand content from popular Japanese entertainment channels Animax and GEM,

Animax is the home of the biggest anime titles, such as Shadows House, Golden Kamuy and One Punch Man. In October, look out for The Detective is Already Dead, about a lady sleuth and her bumbling sidekick.

If anime isn’t your thing, switch over to GEM, where you can find J-dramas and variety shows. Highlights include Voice II, the adaptation of the hit Korean thriller series of the same name; Detective Novice, about two police cadet solving cases; and Can I Follow You Home?, a reality series that follows random Japanese citizens going about their lives.

All Animax and GEM content will be streamed in their original Japanese audio, accompanied by English subtitles.

The Animax + GEM subscription bundle costs S$1.99 per month or S$13.99 for the yearly package. With the latter option, you save S$9.89.

There’s another incentive for choosing the annual package: meWATCH is offering 20 lucky subscribers a three-month subscription to the Doki Doki Crate worth US$131.85 (S$179).

For the uninitiated, Doki Doki Crate is a monthly subscription box packed with five to six kawaii lifestyle items such as household goods, apparel, plushies, and travel accessories. Each month’s box features a new collection.

Details on how to win the prize will be available on mewatch.sg/subscription when the Animax + GEM subscription drive is launched.
