Where To Collect Your Free Reusable Masks From Temasek Foundation — And How To Buy More In These New Colours
Psst, the new colours are only available for pre-order.
Are your reusable masks reaching the end of their lifespan? Fret not. Temasek Foundation is giving out more free reusable masks this month, with more in new limited edition colours available for purchase. This is part of Temasek's second nationwide mask distribution exercise. The inaugural one was in June.
Like those that were given out previously, each antimicrobial mask is reusable and washable up to 30 times. So if you alternate between both free masks, they’d probably last you up to two months.
Each Singapore resident can collect two free reusable masks from Sep 21 at 10am to Oct 4 at 11.59pm from vending machines at over 800 locations islandwide. All Singapore residents will be entitled to a free mask kit — each contains two white antimicrobial MaskSafe DET30 masks, the same ones you received in June. Smaller sized white masks suitable for kids from three to 12 are also available this time around.
The vending machines are located at residents’ committee centres, bus interchanges, community centres/clubs, Plaza Singapura and Temasek Shophouse. To check exact locations and stock availability of the different mask types, go to www.stayprepared.sg/buymasks.
To collect, just scan the barcode of your ID (it could be your NRIC, school smartcard, birth certificate, FIN or any government-issued ID with a barcode) at one of the StayMasked vending machines. No time to collect the masks yourself? Someone else can collect on your behalf, but they will need to bring and scan the barcode of your ID.
If you need even more masks on top of your complimentary ones, you can place pre-orders for additional masks online at the same website or via the DBS PayLah! App. Pre-orders are open from Sep 13, 8am, and close on Oct 2 at 11.59pm. The regular mask types that come in Adult White, Kids White and Adult Navy will be sold for $8 for a pair.
But if you’re all about variety, you’ll be happy to know that there are limited edition colours now available. These will not be given out for free, but are available for purchase. Limited edition masks come in peach, denim and black in both adults and kids sizes ($10 for a mask kit with two masks). Each person can pre-order up to five pairs of limited edition masks.
You’ll have to make pre-payment when you place your order — no direct sales at the vending machines will be available for limited edition designs. Upon payment, you’ll be issued a QR code for you to scan and collect your buys.
For more info, go to stayprepared.sg/masks, or call 1800-738-2000 from Sep 13 to Oct 4, 9am-9pm daily (excluding public holidays).
