Taufik Batisah Says Goodbye To His Jurong West Maisonette, Which He Bought 12 Years Ago Using "All" His Savings
Based on past resale transactions, a maisonette in the block where Taufik used to stay sells for around S$500,000 to $600,000.
On October 18, OG Singapore Idol Taufik Batisah, 39, posted a few pictures of him and his wife, Sheena Akbal, in an empty flat.
According to Taufik, he bought the maisonette 12 years ago, when he was 27, using all of his savings.
This was the first house that I bought with all of my savings 12 years ago. It was just mum and I in the house back then. 6 years later I married the love of my life & we spent the first 6 years of our marriage in our humble abode,” he went on to share in his caption.
Taufik, who’s also a property agent, went on to say that while it wasn't easy for him to let go of his first home, he knew it was time.
I need to practice what I preach to my clients, he wrote. It's important to prepare for your retirement early. When the numbers are right, you need to make the move. As we start our asset progression journey, we bid farewell to our house in 910 Jurong West St 91”.
Based on past resale transactions on HDB's website, a maisonette in the block where Taufik used to stay sells for around S$500,000 to $600,000.
While Taufik has not shared any details about his new home, he did ask his followers to guess which part of Singapore he will be moving too.
Judging from the replies he left to some comments, it seems like Bukit Panjang or the East side of Singapore are the two frontrunners.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
