It’s the National Arts Council’s second new art space after Goodman Arts Centre and after the open call for tenants last year, the list of the lucky ones have been released. The former Chong Cheng School at 28 Aliwal Street (a stone’s throw away from the Malay Heritage Centre) is set to be a “multi-disciplinary arts centre” with a performing arts bent. The official opening isn’t so soon but here’s the list.
