SINGAPORE — Who says visual artists are all just “me, me, me”?

A fundraising exhibition for Juliana Yasin kicks off today at Utterly Art Gallery and will run until April 7.

The Singaporean artist underwent an intensive surgery on Feb 19 after a relapse from a bout with cervical cancer in 2006, and fellow artists (as well as the good folks behind Utterly Art) have banded together for the Artists For Artist show to raise funds to help with the medical bills and longterm post-surgery medical expenses.

Some 40 artists have contributed works priced between S$300 and S$2,000 and all proceeds will go to Juliana. Kudos to the wonderful effort and we wish Juliana all the best.

Utterly Art is located at 20B Mosque Street in Chinatown and gallery hours are from noon to 7pm. For more information, you can contact the show’s organiser, Yvonne Lee, at lychsg [at] gmail.com.
