Other top picks of 2011! A (sort of) roundup!
(UPDATED)
Happy New Year to all!
But before we completely bid adieu to 2011, here’s one final look at some year-end lists by fellow followers of the arts scene.
Online theatre/dance review site The Flying Inkpot has released theirs, with Turn By Turn We Turn; Snails and Ketchup; A Game Of You; Gemuk Girls; When a Gray Taiwanese Cow Stretched; and Mémoires d'Oubliettes / Sehnsucht coming on top. Check out their list here.
Arts blog The Longue Duree had its “Jusdeananas Annual Singapore Art Roundup” way back in November, which you can check out here.
Here’s another one from new Inkpot writer Naeem Kapadia on his blog Crystalwords.
(UPDATE) And yet another one from the theatre blog Buttons In The Bread here and here.
Pretty sure there are other year-end lists online, which I’ll add if I happen to stumble upon them. Or you can add the links in the comments section below.
And in case you missed it, The Straits Times also came up with their year-end picks a couple of weeks ago.
Out Of Context, As It Fades and 6,000 Miles Away came out tops for dance critic Tara Tan; Richard III, Snails and Ketchup and Cooling Off Day/Fear Of Writing were correspondent Adeline Chia’s theatre picks; and the surveys Negotiating Home, History and Nation, Dreams And Reality and Surfaces of Everyday Life as correspondent Deepika Shetty’s visual arts choices.
2012, bring it on!
