'Screw' dance! Sort of!
Attention dance peeps and anyone interested in dance!
Just a quick shout out -- TheatreWorks is holding a five-day workshop in June. Called The Screw of Thought, it’ll be conducted by TW associate artist Joavien Ng and German dance dramaturg Jochen Roller.
What’s going to happen exactly? Well, apparently you get to “’unscrew’ the rules of dance in Singapore.” According to the release it’s a “choreographic lab that encourages conceptual thinking as a process in dance making, to expand the boundaries of dance and to reflect on the system of dance education in Singapore.”
They’re looking for around 10 participants “across disciplines”. The workshop runs from June 6 to 10, Monday to Friday, at TW HQ 72-13, Mohamad Sultan Road.
Fee is S$100 per participant. Download the registration form and read up on the facilitators here. For enquiries, email projects2 [at] theatreworks.org.sg (projects2[at]theatreworks[dot]org[dot]sg) or call 6737 7213.
Deadline for application is May 15. That’s, like, on Sunday.
