Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2011! Finalists! Super Six!

Quiz of the week

How well do you know the news? Test your knowledge.

The finalists for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2011 have been announced. Six Singaporeans in the final 30. Woot. They are Ang Song Nian, Lim Shing Ee, Zhao Renhui, Ng Joon Kiat, Ruben Pang, Green Zeng. In the tradition of the APB Foundation Signature Art Prize 2011’s Lucky Seven, I shall now dub thee the Super Six. The Sinister Six sounds cooler, but let’s go for good vibes shall we? Not sure yet if there will be an exhibition here like last year. But there are two exhibition dates: Jan 10 to 13 (TBC) and Feb 2 to 11 in Hong Kong. The winner will be announced – not to mention the finalists auction – on Feb 17. Check out (and vote for) the works here. Most of the Singaporean works you'll probably have caught in previous exhibitions (and another of Lim's works is at the National Museum of Singapore rotunda). Indonesian finalist Ketut Moniarta has an ongoing exhibition at Element Art Space.
