A week of launches and announcements galore. The National Heritage Board laid out its latest wares—the Great Singapore Souvenirs museum merchandise, the children’s book about national monuments, The Fearless Twins And The Magic Kaleido: A Narrow Escape—as well as announced its new walking tours featuring 12 new national monuments. Checkpoint Theatre also launched Voices Clear And True: New Singapore Plays Vol. 1, an anthology of young playwrights, while Hachisu released Grandmother’s Garden And Other Stories, featuring stories of 32 people with dementia and their caregivers. On the visual arts side, Heman Chong was announced as the Singapore representative to the Asia-Pacific Triennial, while the Affordable Art Fair Singapore is set to return in November. Broadway hits Burn The Floor and Jersey Boys are also coming to Marina Bay Sands in October and November, respectively. Meanwhile, boy soprano wonder Matthew Supramaniam started work on his first CD, along with the Orchestra Of The Music Makers, titled Our Favourites.
