Festival. There was also news of the promise of more theatre glitz and glam in the next few months with Toy Factory’s restaging of Purple, based on the life of transsexual Maggie Lai, and Cirque du Soleil’s Saltimbanco. Elsewhere, Epigram Books launched the print volumes of Haresh Sharma’s Model Citizens and Tan Tarn How’s Fear Of Writing, and friends of the late Emma Yong have banded together to hold a fundraising concert in June for the new The Emma Yong Fund.
