May 21 to 27 As the Singapore Arts Festival picked up momentum into its final leg this week, it regaled audiences with some impressive shows, including The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and performances by the silverhaired chorus group Young@Heart. Singapore, designated Asean City Of Culture for 2012-13, also hosted the fifth gathering of the member countries’ culture ministers and staged the Asean Festival Of The Arts. Meanwhile, the Asian Festival Of Children’s Content 2012 also kicked off at The Arts House. Over in Indonesia, Valentine Willie Fine Art opened Still Building, a survey show of Singapore contemporary artists that’s also touted to be the first of its kind held in the country.
