From acne to pigmentation and wrinkles, treat your skincare problems with its Skin Purifying Facial

Acne has long been the bane of both men and women, young and old. Contrary to popular belief, acne is not just a teen problem. It can affect anyone at any age, especially those with oily skin and clogged pores.

Why are some people more prone to acne?

On top of genetics and hormones, factors such as stress and a diet high in sugar, salt and cholesterol can affect your skin. Other reasons include the habitual touching of your face that might irritate the skin, or using skincare and cosmetics with comedogenic ingredients. Singapore’s climate can also play a part – the humidity may lead to blocked pores and skin breakouts.

What then can be done to fight acne? Many find answers by changing skincare regimes and diets but sometimes, that just isn’t enough.

Bioskin, an established beauty salon in Singapore, seeks to help treat acne woes with its Skin Purifying Facial treatment. While it is designed for acne-prone skin or for those with congested pores, just about anyone else can benefit from the treatment.

According to Bioskin, the treatment can help to detoxify congested skin, calm skin inflammation, control excess oil secretion, and reduce the appearance of blemishes and acne scars.

The first three steps of the 10-step process for the Skin Purifying Facial covers an analysis and a light aromatherapy session before a surface cleanse and scrub. The fourth step is where the magic starts: Bioskin’s Wonder Cream, enriched with retinol, glycolic acid and kojic acid, is applied before a steam session. This allows for the pores to open and absorb the ingredients, as well as softens the skin.

Next, ultrasonic exfoliation clears debris from the skin and draws out excess oils as well as whiteheads and blackheads. The sixth step involves the use of a high-frequency device to kill germs and bacteria that cause inflammation.

Derma peeling is then carried out, with professional-grade salicylic acid that penetrates deep into the skin to dissolve dead skin cells, regulate oil secretion and lighten blemishes and scars.

The last three steps see the application of a customised serum mask coupled with a shoulder massage, followed by a final steam and scalp massage, then ending off with aftercare application. The entire treatment process takes about an hour and a half.

Customers can choose to enhance their treatment with a 10-minute lymphatic neck massage, a 10-minute eye treatment and face ampoule or a 20-minute feet pressure detox.
