Brexit poll suggests UK will remain in EU with 52% support

LONDON – UK voters probably chose to remain in the European Union in Thursday's (June 23) referendum, a YouGov Plc poll for Sky News suggested minutes after polling booths closed.

LONDON – UK voters probably chose to remain in the European Union in Thursday's (June 23) referendum, a YouGov Plc poll for Sky News suggested minutes after polling booths closed.

The poll showed 52 per cent voted to remain in the 28-nation bloc and 48 per cent chose to leave, in line with earlier surveys, YouGov's Joe Twyman said in an interview on Sky News.

The broadcaster cited UK Independence Party Leader Nigel Farage as saying: "it looks like 'Remain' will edge it." BLOOMBERG
