Started by former US First Lady Laura Bush, the book festival is in its 13th year and will take place at the National Mall in September. Bigwigs such as Jeffrey Eugenides of The Virgin Suicides, Philip Roth and Junot Diaz have previously graced the occasion and there are side events such as book sales and performances.
