1. UTOPIA INTERACTIVE ARTS FESTIVAL 2015. An interactive arts fest, which will include a recreation of the late artist Ng Eng Teng’s studio, an installation of life-like figurines created via 3D printing, and a retro game night featuring edible video game controllers. 2. CULTUREHACKSG 1.0. A project by Post-Museum at the NUS Baba House that uses food as the entry point for discussions into culture and history, drawing inspiration from the site’s historical background as well as old recipe books. You can participate in the first phase of creation (Jan 16 to 21) or drop by for the sharing sessions (Jan 23 to 25). Free. 3. CURATING LAB: PHASE 03. This time, it’s the curators’ turn to shine, as participants of last year’s Curating Lab programme put up three exhibitions working with artists Song-Ming Ang, Chun Kaifeng, Amanda Heng, Kim Lim, Matthew Ngui and Shubigi Rao. Until Feb 8 at the Lee Kong Chian Temp Gallery, NUS Museum. Free admission.

4. SINGAPOREAN EXPERIMENTAL ARTISTS AT THE UNIFIEDFIELD AIR PROGRAMME. Live performances, experimental music, talks and workshops can be had at this showcase of homegrown artists who have participated in the Unifiedfield’s residency programme in Granada, Spain, since 2002. They include: Zulkifle Mahmod, Tania De Rozario, Loo Zihan, Kai Lam, anGie seah, Shaun Sankaran & Natasha Noor, Bani Haykal & Shahila Baharom, Harry Chew, Tara Transitory aka One Man Nation, Marta Moreno Munoz. Jan 24 and 25 at The Substation Theatre. Admission: entry by donation. Performances are from 7pm to 10pm, workshops from 1pm to 5pm.

5. ALIWAL URBAN ART FESTIVAL / SUPER 0 OPENAIR. Okay, this is cheating, but since both are happening on the same day, you can choose — or shuffle between the two. The former offers showcases by urban artists, bands, DJs as you meet Singapore’s underground scene, while the latter is a pop-up boutique festival, which includes a bit of performance art, some international DJs and a mixologist bar, among others. Jan 17, 5pm to midnight (Aliwal Urban Art Festival, 28 Aliwal Street), and 2pm till late (Super 0 Openair, Former SIA Changi Sports Club, 24 Turnhouse Road).
