SINGAPORE — The Singapore International Festival Of Arts unveiled its full line-up for the main festival in August as well as the pre-festival event O.P.E.N. in June. A Singapore delegation of writer and publishers led by the National Arts Council took part in this year’s London Book Fair with its very own Singapore Pavilion. Back home, architect Lai Chee Kien has embarked on a fundraising campaign to help move his Singapore Biennale piece, National Theatre @ 50, featuring a miniature facade of the demolished building, to Fort Canning Park. The Peranakan Museum opened its latest exhibition on unusual batik altar cloths from Java and film-maker Eric Khoo revealed he’s planning a movie slated for next year, tentatively titled In The Room.
