SINGAPORE — Last week, Benson Puah stepped down as chief executive of the National Arts Council (NAC) after a successful four-year tenure, with his deputy, Yvonne Tham, serving as interim CEO.

He continues to serve as CEO of The Esplanade. The NAC, as well as the National Heritage Board, also announced the 29 recipients of its Arts and Heritage Scholarships for 2013. The NHB, meanwhile, appointed seven new board members, including Singapore Repertory Theatre artistic director Gaurav Kripalani and architect Zahidi Abdul Rahman.
