SINGAPORE — The Singapore International Festival Of Arts’ head honchos make up. Festival director Ong Keng Sen and CEO Lee Chor Lin issued a joint statement saying they will resolve their differences. A few days later, more positive news, as the festival finds a new home in The Arts House. The National Arts Council announced the merger of the two companies that manage both institutions under the Arts House Ltd brand, which will be led by Lee. The news was announced as The Arts House celebrated its 10th anniversary with a series of programmes, including a show centred on the premise that a bookstore has taken over (with real shop BooksActually setting up a pop-up store). Meanwhile, the Singapore International Film Festival also unveiled its new logo and not-so-new team: Yuni Hadi moves up as Executive Director and Zhang Wenjie takes on the role of Festival Director, while BooksActually co-founder Karen Wai comes on board as Marketing Manager. Affordable Art Fair Singapore announced that its May edition for this year will be for charity. Proceeds of works will be donated to the Red Pencil Humanitarian Mission under the international art therapy for children charity The Red Pencil Foundation.
