SINGAPORE — The line-up for Singapore’s year-long 50th anniversary celebrations next year has been unveiled, which officially includes the opening of a revamped National Museum Of Singapore in September and the opening of the National Gallery Singapore in November. Speaking of museums, the Asian Civilisations Museum has finally revealed the list and prices of items it acquired between 1997 and 2010, a total of S$1.3 million, from the controversial Art Of The Past gallery in New York, which has been accused of trafficking stolen artefacts. Meanwhile, the community arts festival PAssionArts Festival 2014 continued to make its rounds in the heartlands. MAYO MARTIN
