But that’s because they are. The story about delivery truck driver David whose anonymous sperm donations resulted in 533 children, this Vince Vaughn-starrer is the American remake of the French-Canadian movie—and both were directed by the same guy, Ken Scott. So yes, you can probably expect thing word for word, scene for scene. But Starbuck did bag an award at the Vancouver International Film Festival so Delivery Man is likely to be popular with audiences as well. (Unless Canadians have a different sense of humour).
It’s a typical (or predictable, some might argue) Vince Vaughn flick—a tried and tested comedy peppered with fleeting themes of family, love and friendship. Still, it has its undeniably laidback charm.
