SINGAPORE — Singaporean singer Derrick Hoh will stage his first solo concert, The Highlight, at the Esplanade Recital Studio on June 25.

Hoh will be performing a selection of his dance hits, many of which will be re-arranged for the concert, as well as ballads. The singer’s most recent hits include Can’t Pretend and Lemon Tree, which have garnered over 2.3 million and 1.3 million hits on YouTube, respectively.

The 90-minute concert will also feature performances by singer-songwriter Huang Jinglun, who will join Hoh onstage as a guest artiste.

“This being my first solo ‘live’ concert, I’m naturally nervous. But with the nerves come anticipation and excitement, especially when my fans from overseas have pledged to attend if I were to stage a concert,” Hoh said in a press release. “With such an intimate setting, I will be able to see each and everyone’s face. They will have my undivided attention. I want that for my first show — to show appreciation for their love — so no, no distance between us for my first show.”

Derrick Hoh’s The Highlight concert will be held on June 25, Saturday, 8pm, at the Esplanade Recital Studio. Tickets from S$50 available from April 11 at derrickhighlight.peatix.com.
